From the full bloom tulips to the cozy air and the pleasant weather, this valley of flowers offers a deal that you can’t refuse.

From early spring to mid-summer or from late-summer to fall there is something to cherish.

Yamberzal and Nargis:  has white and yellow petals with a mesmerizing fragrance. It is native to the snowy valleys of Kashmir and is also a symbol of good health & prosperity.

Kashmiri Gulab/Rose:is one of the most famous flowers belonging to the Rosaceae family. If you have a sunny spot in the garden, then you can grow this flower easily. It is native to Kashmir.

Kashmiri NamePamposh: lotus isthe state flower of Jammu &Kashmir, it features velvety petals with an intrigue floral pattern.

 Nature has bestowed Kashmir region with a vanity of treesbut without “Chinar” the paradise is incomplete.


Chinar: a tree of antiquity and magnificence is an integral part of the landscape ofKashmir and holds a unique place in its cultural traditions. The tale of changing seasonsin Kashmir often finds expression in the distinct appearances of Chinar.


Deodar or Kashmir Cedar: is also known as Divdhor in Kashmiri. Though a high-altitude tree, Deodars also grow in the low valleys. You can see some Deodar trees near Harwan as well. Its wood is ideal for making furniture, boats, houseboats, bridges, railway tracks, doors and window frames, etc. This is perhaps the best of timber that is produced in the state in terms of utility and durability. Deodar wood is quite expensive and can withstand hot, moist and various other climatic conditions. It is a choice wood for building construction. Hindus believe that forests full of Deodar trees or Devadāru trees are the abodes of the ancient sages who were devoted to Lord Shiva.

Kaayur or Kail: this Himalayan blue pine is known as Kaayur in Kashmiri. This is again a high-altitude tree. It grows in the upper forests and this wood is used for making doors, windows and frames and furniture in the Kashmir valley. This evergreen tree can grow up to a height of 150 feet.
